Introduction |
Pregabalin is a non-gamma-aminobutyrate (GABA) receptor agonist or antagonist. It is a new calcium channel regulator, which can block voltage-dependent calcium channels and reduce the release of neurotransmitters. |
Application |
Clinically, it is mainly used for neuralgia related to diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia and adjunctive treatment of partial seizures in adults, generalized anxiety disorder, central neuralgia (including neuralgia associated with spinal cord injury, stroke and multiple sclerosis) and fibromyalgia. |
